I provide speech and language evaluations and therapy for children in English and Spanish in your home and in private schools in the San Diego area or via teletherapy for families anywhere in California. My goal is simple: to help your child communicate with confidence.
About Me
Grace Neuman, M.A., CCC-SLP Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
My name is Grace Neuman, and I am a certified bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist with over 12 years of experience serving families across San Diego, California. As a native Spanish speaker, I understand firsthand how deeply language shapes a child's confidence and their connection to family and culture. This drives my commitment to provide high-quality, culturally responsive therapy and evaluations tailored to every child's individual needs.
With experience in both medical and school settings, I specialize in supporting children who have speech and language delays or disorders, with expertise in bilingual language development. I believe real progress begins when a child feels understood and supported, so I'm committed to building trusting relationships with every family I work with.

Areas of Expertise
Speech Sound Disorders
Difficulty producing sounds correctly, which can make a child hard to understand. I assess and treat articulation and phonological errors so your child can be understood clearly.
Stuttering (Fluency)
Interruptions in the flow of speech, such as repeating sounds, stretching them out, or getting "stuck." I help children speak more smoothly and build confidence when they talk.
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
A motor speech disorder in which the brain has trouble coordinating the movements needed to speak, even when the child knows what they want to say. I use targeted techniques such as Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) to help make speech more consistent and intelligible.
Language Disorders & Delays
Difficulty understanding language or using words and sentences to express wants, needs, and ideas. I evaluate and treat both receptive (understanding) and expressive (using) language to strengthen communication.
Social Communication (Pragmatics)
Difficulty using language appropriately in social situations, such as holding conversations, taking turns, or reading social cues. I help children develop the skills to connect and interact with others.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Support for children who are minimally verbal or nonverbal, using low-tech (picture boards) and high-tech (speech-generating devices) to give them a reliable and consistent way to communicate.
My Approach
Bilingual & Culturally Responsive
As a native Spanish speaker, I work with children in English, Spanish, or both based on your child's and your family's preference.
Warm & Play-Based
Children do their best work when they're having fun. My sessions are playful and built around your child, keeping them engaged as we work toward their communication goals.
Family-Centered
You know your child best. I'll keep you in the loop and share strategies you can use at home, so progress doesn't stop when our session ends.
